The Buckminister Fuller Challenge

Each year, The Buckminster Fuller Institute invites scientists, entrepreneurs, planners, designers, architects, activists, artists, and students from all over the world to submit their innovative solutions to some of humanity’s most pressing problems.

The Institute came across our works through Sathya Prakash Varanashi’s blog and saw that our works have connection with Bucky’s designs and geodesic structures.

His principles have inspired and helped us put all of our effort to the benefit of mankind and society. Participating in the challenge has established a direction for our future efforts.

Invitation from the Buckminster Fuller institute encouraged us to participate in the challenge. We as students have been experimenting and exploring on similar lines through our academic learning but participating in the challenge provided a platform to our works and ideas that are being put forward and shared for the advantage of the society.

The criterion of the challenge has helped us formalize our initiative in a more structural manner and explore our potentials to work for a wider spectrum. The above criteria led us to generate a complete documentation of all our works, helping us understand the gestalt of our explorations.

The process of participation for the challenge has been a meaningful exercise for us, as it helped us explore varied skills of our team members and more over it paved way for mutual learning.
